Colorado has fallen.

I fully expect Magpul to follow through and move it's operations from Colorado.

I don't think they'll wind up here but Texas has offered them help moving.

DENVER – Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will sign legislation Wednesday that sets limits on ammunition magazines and expands background checks for firearms, marking a Democratic victory in a state where gun ownership is a treasured right and Second Amendment debate has played out in the wake of two mass shootings.

The measures proposed are some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, and their passage comes after weeks of tense legislative battles. Republicans and gun rights supporters put up a major fight against the measures in this politically moderate state, while Democrats made them the centerpieces of a package of legislative proposals drafted in reaction to shooting rampages at a suburban Denver movie theater and a Connecticut elementary school last year.

What outside state money is Magpul talking about? Gee I wonder if Colorado will get a big payback from scumy obumma.
Using the big federal piggy bank to buy off the state dems. Wonder how much printed federal money it will take to tear down the rest of the constitution?

The more of these states that fall like this the more likely others are to follow suit. The way is being paved....

Maybe, maybe not.

Maybe they will be an example of what NOT to do.

Facebook page:

Magpul Industries Corp.
We are told that one of the reasons that Gov Hickenlooper will sign the magazine ban is the statistic presented by the Golden police chief that an increasing number of Law Enforcement officers have been shot with magazines that hold more than 10 rounds since the expiration of the federal AWB. Since most handguns ship with standard capacity magazines that hold more than 10 or even 15 rounds, that would make sense...but what that statistic doesn’t tell you is that the average number of rounds fired in a criminal homicide is less than 5 rounds. The capacity of the magazine never comes into play. It just happens to be what is in the firearm, regardless of how many rounds were actually fired.
This is just another example of how the anti-gun lobby has to twist statistics in order to find support for their position. The real, objective facts support none of their agenda, so half truths and distorted statistics are used to tell the story they want to tell—like the recent study they touted where “more gun laws equal less crime”, except they left several states and all major metropolitan areas out of the statistics, and included all manner of extraneous data…because that was the only way to “prove” what they wanted to present as fact. Chicago is safer than Missoula, MT? DC is safer than Ft Worth? Really? That’s just insulting to even suggest.
As this fight continues, ask for the whole picture. Ask how polls were conducted, and what questions were asked before believing their “stats”. Question bias is another favorite tactic of the anti-gun lobby. Accept no statistic without the whole picture. We’d be happy to give you all the supporting data on any “statistic” that we cite, as real data supports firearms freedoms. Demand that the other side of the argument do the same.

Kollector03: Don't tell us you are boycotting Colorado, tell these guys:

http://www.colorado.com/staff

Sen. Al White (probably a figurehead)
Director, Colorado Tourism
Al.White@state.co.us

John Ricks (probably the read guy in charge)
Associate Director, Colorado Tourism
John.Ricks@state.co.us

Write these two, tell them you won't be coming. Tell them that you'll persuade your friends and relatives not to come to Colorado either. Montana is a much nicer place to hunt, fish, and vacation.

Sent an email to

Sen. Al White (probably a figurehead)
Director, Colorado Tourism
Al.White@state.co.us

John Ricks (probably the read guy in charge)
Associate Director, Colorado Tourism
John.Ricks@state.co.us

and cc their gov.

Dear Mr. Ricks and Mr. White,

My wife Named and I are in the process of planning our family vacation for this summer as we had an great time in CO. last summer. We were in you beautiful state from June 25th to July 1st. We did a lot of hiking, shopping (spent way too much money), dining and sight seeing. I also got an opportunity see old friends in the process. Our intent was to be back again this summer. Unfortunately that is now not going to happen.

I own and operate a firearm training/personal defense company in Sioux Falls, SD. I was very disappointed to hear that Governor Hickenlooper signed legislation that will ban the magazine in a gun that I carried legally for my families self-protection while we on vacation last year. I am not going to purchase a smaller magazine or switch firearms to vacation in your state. As a law-abiding citizen I also do not want to violate your state laws but I do fail to see the logic in the law as only the law-abiding will follow it. If you can explain to me how this new law restricting magazine capacity will make my family or anyone safer we will reconsider vacationing in your state again.

Until then I will be sharing the news of this legislation, which bans magazines with capacities great than 15 rounds, with the 100’s of students that attend my classes each month and encourage them to consider other more second amendment friendly states in which to hunt and vacation.

I'd boycott Kolorado ... but ... frankly ... I've never been! ... always figured it was full of douchebags! ... kind of a smog-free Kalifornia!

... no loss! ... Magpul's better off, elsewhere! ... and all this publicity?! ... can't buy it! ... even sellin' PMags to Koloradoans at pre-December prices!

That, and it wouldn't shock me to see a lotta these politicians lose their offices in the coming years! ... and fer what?! ... a 15rd mag restriction?!

... wouldn't shock me to see it repealed in a couple years!

Never been there doesn't mean you wouldn't have gone in the future.

Never been either but I'm starting my boycott now.
