Savor the Richly Deserved Defeat...

Best news today! I bought another lower for a new build, I think I'll call it the Feinstein. Better be a ugly gun when I'm done.

Glad to hear that legislation is going down in flames.

Hate to be a party pooper but ...

What if the wicked witch attaches her awb as an ammendment to myraid bills. Could it sneak through then? I fervently hope she disappears into the historic dustbin, but these people are tenacious, souless monsters. Sorta like zombies.

They are taking the bills apart and attempting to pass the pieces that they can get the votes for.

It's not the LAWS you necessarily have to worry about, it's how the laws are regulated.

Article I read yesterday said she knew long before her bill wouldn't survive. She introduced it as ammo to add to other gun control bills now being looked at.
Delete one, while others are looked at as a compromise etc. Chances of passing other bills would be better after the assualt weapon ban died.

She's not a idiot like some say. After reading the article you realize that. Trying to find the link.

My sincere apologies to the good zombies of the world. :)

DiFi (sorry) is old and decrepit. She is worried about her legacy. What she has now is a failed awb in the mid nineties and she was present for a murder in San Francisco. She cannot last much longer unless helped by diabolical powers to prolong her life. She may be getting desperate. My hope is that history will forget her and her ilk.

One of these days, we'll maybe we will learn something from these folks. Perhaps someone pro-2A will hold pressers and introduce bills to repeal the NFA or GCA 1986 every 10 or 15 minutes every session... so we can eventually "compromise" by just removing SBR's and suppressors from "the list". Truth be told, if you don't need to keep a "book" of transactions to eventually hand over to the FBI, the internet and its online background check system access sort of obviates the need for FFL's. That would be a nice "compromise" as well.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/lupica-pols-spit-graves-newtown-vics-article-1.1293386

This will make your blood boil....

"Spineless pols spit on the graves of Newtown victims by not pushing for assault weapons ban

The words of a teary-eyed President and other politicians meant nothing, because they didn't turn into action, as a ban on assault weapons won’t be included in gun legislation that's shaping up in the U.S. Senate. After Newtown and the other tragedies, it begs the question, 'If not now, when?'"

Read the rest at the link....if you dare.

although this is a good start. Dont let your guard down and remain vigilent. This doesnt mean it wont come back when we least expect it. It isnt dead until voted dead. It could be added to something else.
Give me liberty or give me death... Those willing to give up liberty for safety deserve neither...

She has made statements in the past about passing laws that are unconstitutional and letting the courts sort it out. (instead of doing the work properly) Now she is saying that she drafted, and wasted time, on a bill she knew wouldn't pass, instead of working on something that would maybe benefit the nation.

This is how many legislators work. Huge waste of taxpayer time and money.

She wanted the bill to be passed. She has always wanted it. She will always want it to be passed. She will brimg it up over and Over again so long as she lives because she wants it passed.

Did she assume it would pass this time? Maybe, maybe not, but she sure wanted it to. Is she ticked it didn't? Dang skippy. Did she think that putting this bill out there might draw cover for other less controsial bills? Probably. But she still isnt happy she lost this one. It's her baby.
