World Net Daily has commissioned a poll of gun owners, and reported the following lie:

"A new poll indicates only 1 in 5 gun owners would be willing to give up their firearms if the government demanded it.
“In other words, the government has a huge fight on its hands if it tries to implement a gun confiscation program,” said pollster Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies.
A surprisingly high percentage of those who call themselves “very liberal” also would not allow their guns to be confiscated, the poll shows."

Bull. Crap.

...The vast majority of the 80-percent in this WND poll say they won’t comply now, but we’re not playing a time-constrained game, and most will give up their rights without a fight.

...They don’t need to get into your gun safe if they’ve gotten into your head.
They can only win by your apathy and inaction. Learn to shoot well, master your rifle to 500 yards. Practice dry firing, read up on marksmanship, small unit tactics, our heritage, and what was sacrificed for us by our Founders, and resolve to be every bit as active now so that you aren’t required to make the same sacrifices of blood and treasure.
Agitate. Politic. Get involved.
Be proud. Be relentless.
They are counting on your doing nothing.
Disappoint them.

Remember that 85.67% of all statistics and facts are made up in 98.382% of all polls according to the Societal Study of Archaic Results and Pollsters Commission of Unified Conglomeration of Representatives of the People of the World..... then again that agency is also made up and controlled by me, who made up 100% of the statistics and poll numbers in this post.

All I can say is that if we ever want to see that theory and opinion tested about people willingly giving up their guns, well, just try and take them. Some people will cave in, but many won't. I have zero sympathy for anyone who willingly would give in to such tyranny. They deserve the enslavement and treatment they get for being sheep. If they don't value their own life and freedom where they are defending it as their line in the sand, why should I care and put my own life on the line for such traitors?

Also, rather see that as fact than the other side that reports huge percentages of gun owners in favor of.....................................gun control, registration, background checks etc etc etc

I think the point of Owen's commentary was that, even if the study was accurate, it doesn't account for the effect time and circumstance will have on those who say they will never allow their guns to be confiscated... And down the road, you could see a totally different story.

The surrenderers

A lot of people blindly follow "the law", even if its unjust. I will not under any circumstances surrender my firearms to governmental authority. That's exactly what the second amendment is for.

So a team of 'government employees' come up to you and point an M16 at your head you'll say "I don't think so pal".

Umm hmm.

The e-balls are huge on this one.

No e-balls involved for me at all.

Anything I would say here may get me into legal trouble, so assume what you want, but I know how I'd react.

Retreat is not the same as surrender, depending on the circumstances... If your only view of "winning the war" is being in possession of your personal gun at all times, you might be missing the forest for the trees.

This suggests e-balls:
I will not under any circumstances surrender my firearms to governmental authority.

For me, my only view of "winning the war" is being in full possession of my freedom at all times. A gun merely allows me to do that.

Only if those words aren't backed up when needed.

I wouldn't die for my firearms, that's silly... but I'd fight and if need be die for my freedom. Firearms allow me to maintain that freedom. For me, freedom is my mail goal, not firearms. Those are just things.
