I was actually planning a 2 week trip there atthe end of this summer. Been planning it since last september. No more. I will vacation elsewhere.

I'd send the hotel a letter! ;)

Jaysong hit it squarely on the head with his letter. Colorado is now off of my preferred list of skiing/vacationing destinations and I too have drafted a similar letter.

Exactly! Sending letters to the dept. of tourism is good. Sending letters to all the hotels, ski resorts, camp grounds, etc. is even better! Money talks, and the loss of money to these businesses MIGHT persuade them to put some pressure on the CO legislature.

I think Colorado has been full of douchebags for decades. Looks they've finally worked their way into the legislature.

I will be fascinated to see the political ramifications of this. It will be this country's first major political test of gun legislation since the AWB of 1994. That didn't work out so well for the Democrats. Now Colorado is going to show us whether or not substantially increased gun ownership and the internet will have a greater or lesser impact on the political will of the people.

I've been going to Co. for years. MANY successful Elk hunts there. I'm thinking I need to look elsewhere.

Colorado is a very pro gun state. Don't think for a second what happened there couldn't happen here, especially if we had columbine and aurora. CO is not a lost cause -- don't cede the fight. Go shoot there and support the gun rights community in CO!

"Gun rights community" in any state, is a very small percentage of gun owners!

Jest cause someone runs a hunting lodge er guide service, don't mean they ain't some Fudd, willin to throw threaded muzzles, collapsible stocks, and 30rd mags under the bus!

That said, if they otherwise offer a discount, fer hunters usin AR's, I'd guess that'd be ok! ;)
