The analogy to 'gun insurance' would be you, as trained in the martial arts, having to pay a premium based solely on the basis of your training.

I think a better analogy would be you and your insurance carrier being held responsible for some jack-hole carjacking your vehicle and running it into a group of people.

Well, there are gun injuries that are not related to someone stealing your vehicle.

I agree, and if thats what the anti's were proposing we'd have something to talk about. However, what they're proposing is insuring against the criminal misuse of firearms, something insurers aren't going to touch.

That's the key right there. The insurance companies will oppose it, therefor it won't happen. They have as much clout as the NRA.

That's a big reason Obamacare passed. The health insurance companies supported it.
