Okay, rather than complain. Lets do this!!!

Okay, now that every thread with posts about where ammo is gets people up set about the ammo going to the scallpers.
Lets all buy a couple boxes of the ammo we find then post it here for sale to forum members at what you paid for it or even a small mark up to help with your gas and time to do this.

This will help forum members who need ammo but can't ever beat the scallpers to it, and it will keep the (at least some of them) scallpers from making money off the Obama panic.

I don't have a ton of cash to do this but willing to buy a few boxes here and there if others are willing to do the same.

Or we could start a thread for "what I need in ammo" so others can keep an eye out for it , then buy a couple boxes for the person posting.

Now I understand there will be buggs to work out in this type of deal but at least it would not allow them SOB scallpers from reading our forums for the ammo tips.

Thoughts???? Benny

I think that this is a great idea. I'm always down to help out a fellow, doesn't hurt to have good karma. And if I get stuck with a few boxes, I'll just have to buy a gun for that caliber...

I am 15 minutes, 9.4 miles each way, from Cabin Fever in Victoria. My time is not a big deal. However, that's 1 gallon of gas in my car given the stops and starts, round trip. If they get more of that PMC Bronze 5.56 ammo in like the last batch, PM me if you want me to snag some for you at cost plus a gallon of gas. I don't drive home from work that way or it would just be cost. I reload all my ammo needs and don't normally go there, or it would be just for cost, given the enjoyment of browsing.

Now, who works at Federal? Image

Hoot, I am sure a lot of people wouldn't mind $3.60 extra to get 10 boxes of 5.56 if they can't get off work in time to beat the scalpers to FF.

Federal employee's are having trouble getting ammo too from what my friend has told me. I have a standing order for .22lr, .357/,38spl and .44 mag but he said the .22 is imposible to get and the others are rare and almost as high as the retail stores.

I've been doing this for over a month. :P

If you've got surplus, let it out so others can shoot. If you find some hard to locate goods, take them home and let folks having trouble get them. It's not all about the money. We need to support our sport, or we're all going to suffer from our own greed.

I've also been doing this. Every time post an update I am buying stuff but immdeately calling a buddy that can't get there and selling at my cost. I reload a ton. So I've even skipped some purchases but now I know better as I'll also be asked if I've seen it.

Agreed. Tons of new shooters out there that can't get ammo once they get a gun. How many will sell off knowing now is the best time to sell and never come back?

I am a new poster around here - but certainly not an ammo hound. I have over $300 of handgun ammo sitting on my desk that I've purchased and will sell at cost to several friends that have been unable to find such ammo. I'm a patience ammo shopper and unwilling to overpay. I recently found boxes of Winchester and Federal 9mm at my local Wal Mart. I bought my limit - which I shared with a friend and I called a friend who went immediately to the store and bought some - but we didn't buy them out.

If I had know about this board, at the time, I would have posted the information, and if I find more I will post it here.

The store I got the LPP at had some WWB .308 as well but it was $20.95 a box. I know Fleet Farm has it priced at $12.95 so I didn't buy any.

If any one really wants it at that price just PM me and I will let you know the store and location.

I was at FF Blaine earlier today and saw a large pile of .223 (I believe it was Winchester and am sure it is gone by now) going off the shelves @ $9.99 a box of 20.
I do not need it, but if someone is looking for any I will grab some next time I see it and let them have it for the price on the receipt.

As a new to the gun scene college kid, who recently spent most of his money building his own ar15 before all this madness started, I'm willing to buy some .223/5.56 if anyone wants to sell some:) I'll also be on the lookout for others as well:)

Impulse purchased a SR1911 today. Looking for some 45 to feed this beast. Ran the only 50 I had thru it and it is still hungry. I do have 9mm or 7.62x39 to equal value swap.
Well, when I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.

Too far for me to drive to and I don't need that many.

PM me if you want to go get them, I ask for 1K of them is all. Will pay $35 for them,
