Ahhh got it. I was going to say, there are some women who make me look pretty foolish at the range with their 1911s. 1911s are addictive! Betcha you will want more.

Congratulations, you will enjoy it. I've got one coming that I paid more for than my first new car, granted my first new car was a 1975 ford pinto :o

With the 50GI, if you can afford the gun, you can afford $300 of reloading equipment to make your own ammo instead of paying a buck a round or more. Break even is 600 rounds, which is nothing.

And BTW - which Guncrafter do you have?? Some are convertible to 50GI with just a new barrel and mag. You do have to send it back in, however, because fitting a barrel to a slide is all hand work, just like the rest of the gun. I hope you realized that before you chose the one you did, because if you got a 45 only you'll be kicking yourself afterwards when you read this. Guns that are set up for both calibers can also shoot 45 Super if you just leave the 50 spring in it with the 45 barrel with NO problem!!
