It is very nice. Don't know if that is what is on the gun, but I assume it was what you were asking.

No I was asking because he has a Magpul MBUS(plastic) on a gas block/piston block which is a no no.

Here's my two babies, the top one is my S&W .500, the bottom is my S&W .357. The .500 is a 5 shot revolver, the .357 is a seven shot revolver.

That .500 makes little brother look a 3" J frame pocket pal. Sweet!

Stripped it down to the bare frame and slide, polished a couple parts, installed a new SST guide rod and spring. Painted using high temp chemical resistant engine block paint. Now it looks like this.

Biggest gripe about the GSG 1911-22 is that the stock finish wears ridiculously quickly. Guess I wont be having that problem.

Wow! That looks sweet. Reminds me of the "Hammertone" finish on some of my old boatanchors (radio receivers).

Just got some Badger Boot Grips for my GP. Way prettier than the rubber Hogue monogrip I had on there before, and more comfortable to carry too.

Wow, your Badger grain is awesome. I just brought home a cute little woodie too. It's a S&W 36-1, 3" with some honest wear, but still looking decent. Very comfortable grip - don't know the maker. The Beretta is to show the scale of a J-Frame.

That's a classic! Nice checkering. I haven't shot mine yet, I think I like the smooth wood but I'm not sure yet. It doesn't feel as secure in my hand as the rubber grips which makes me a tiny bit nervous.

Oh, jeez. Total involuntary laugh unto tears reading that. I will admit the 36 is a bit of a girlie gun. And I once drove a Miata and had a pony tail so I'm used to the slings and arrows.

Is there another thread members post pics? I would think at least a few new guns per week would show up.

Here is what ambushed my Visa whilst browsing Bravo late Tieday night. They oughta post warning notices about suddenly in-stock unobtanium. I need another AR like [your cliche here], but it felt so good to hit add to cart instead of notify me so I can miss out by a few minutes.

Anyway I scored a middy upper complete WITH BCG. Had everything else except some FDE furniture which Atomic Tactical had in stock. 41 hours from gleam on-line to good to go. Pic follows specs. About as light as my DDv7LW with more comfy handgrip. It's a keeper. Now if I can just get signed up with a rifle club.

Isn't that Swiss bayonet a persuasive argument for an international mounting standard?

Click to enlarge. (Hey, don't mock. I didn't know that at first either.)

Why is the cylinder so long? What other cartridge can this gun shoot that is longer than a .460? A .410 shotshell?

Might be able to chamber 410. I've never tried. They make two different frame sizes in the BFR, Short cylinder and long cylinder. I believe the first caliber they made the long cylinder model in was 45/70, so they designed the cylinder length around that. Then they added other calibers later. So the other calibers offered in the long cylinder frame(30/30, 450 Marlin, 460, 500, etc) wouldn't need a cylinder that long, however it would be very costly for them to customize a new frame size and cylinder length for each caliber. It's much cheaper to use the same frame and cylinder length for all the calibers, so that's what they do.

The cylinder length on the long cylinders is right at 3".
