No due process. No investigation. No judicial oversight. No chance to defend yourself against the charges. No actual crime even committed.
One has to ask the question- at what point do we stand up, armed and say "no more!" Saying it's a personal decision won't cut it. Not if you want to have any level of success.
Honestly, I have no idea what the answer is. But at some point you have to come up with some kind of answer, even if that answer is "never, I won't do it."

That is the scary part. I'd take them to court and frame it as a 4th (and 2nd) amendment violation and sue the pants off of them.
