Value of Police trade-in Glocks?

Postby shawnp on Fri Apr 12, 2013 8:55 am

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum but I ran across a pile of gen 3 G21's that are police trades for $550 with one mag and G22's @ $450 with one mag. I'm in the market for the 21 but is that price to high? Cosmetically it may be holster wear but I care more for functionality. Of course, fleet farm was selling the 21 gen 4 @$575 two weeks ago when I was there.

Unless they're in like new condition , that's way too much. I sold a bunch of trade in's on here last summer for $425 for the G21's and $400 for the G22's....they came with 3 mags.

The market is still stupid when it comes to prices... Jesus Christ!

Thank you. I wonder if the high price is due to the 'outfitter' status......

What do you mean "outfitter status"?

Someone's been looking at the Cabela's Gun Room. They're probably not the best for prices. Most shows I've been to recently have a table full of G22s for around 400, which isn't too bad, if i were in the market.

If the OP was at Cabela's, the deals in the gunroom were the Smith 6946s.

That is a rip for a trade-in G21. Last winter I paid $470 for one, and that was still too much, but I wanted it.

For $550, I'd be going and buying a brand new one all day long.

I concur with the others. A police trade-in should be between $300-$400. I just paid $350 for a like-new condition G19.

Any chance there are more G19s in that price range?

I wouldn't pay over $400 but I wouldn't expect to find one for $350.
Well, when I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.

I'll let you make $25 off me and I'll pay you $375 for that G19. ;)
