Gunbot always has ammo listed at various dealers. Its out there ,just still $$$ .
If you want it you can pay the inflated price's.
I have got 800 rounds of 9mm at Cabelas in the last month at decent price's.
The expensive priced ammo is not flying off the shelf's anymore.

Imagine if that was food!!!!! I'm creeped out

What was all the commotion about? They haven't had anything in stock for some time.

That's just it, I don't know, they didn't have anything. For some reason customers at that Cabela's are just plain rude, has nothing to do with Cabela's. I'm standing in an aisle looking at something and someone comes down the aisle, walks right in front me, nudges me, doesn't say excuse me and acts like I'm not there. Or I'm looking at something on the shelf and they jam them self right in front of me, again, like I'm not there. That happens all the time there and is just plain rude, I used to have the same experience at movie rental stores. One time I said to a person that nudged me, "excuse me for being in your way" and he looked at me like I had no business being there. I just freaks me out how selfish people can be, especially when its about an item that they don't need such as food. Imagine if there was a food shortage, it would be COMPLETE pandemonium, fights, murders, etc....

I was at fleet farm, the one up 35 and every customer was polite, said excuse me, struck up a few mini conversations. Its weird how different the experience is between stores.

Part of it is probably just that they are so busy. All the people milling around at the gun counter waiting with their number for their turn or trying to see something in a case with a dozen other people in front of them. It isn't a pleasant experience. I'm not sure what would make it better, but they need to do something. Scheels is no better though... They have a small firearms area that is always packed and hard to get around. Both places have too few people to help all the customers. This isn't something unique to the last few months of 'panic' either. Cabelas has been this way since they opened in Rogers.

One thing that might help is if they had all the guns available for people to just walk up and check out. If they had them tethered like an electronics store does with its gadgets they wouldn't need a salesperson to attend to every person who wants to get a close look. Then the sales people could focus their time on those people with actual questions.

Called Bills in CP checking if they had a 9mm I could rent and try. They are out of 9mm ammo. Both CP and Robin, they didn't know if Hudson has any.

Hudson had plenty of ammo last Wednesday when I was there looking at the AR-50NM.

I was there yesterday as well, and yes it was a zoo, part of the reason being is that Cabela's had the fishing rep's there, as well as demonstrations. I strolled through the firearms section and that was all I did. One thing that I thought was funny is that when people are looking for ammo, they stand and graze at the empty shelves like something is going to happen or they are suddenly going to be fed thousands of rounds of 9 or 22.

LOL, I noticed that too. It was like if they stared long enough something might just appear.

Scheels has all long guns out for public touching (as do various other smaller gun stores). Though I agree I wouldn't want one after lots of handling, obviously for the most part it is not a showstopper for their sales. The money they would lose by having to sell a display model for a slight discount if there were blemishes would be very easily offset by the lower labor costs. Besides, Cabelas has all their used long guns out like I described. Can't be that big of deal.

Agreed. I'll look at the display. Then ask for one in the box. Any blemish tho is a deal breaker for me. Just picky that way 8-)

Gander in Blaine USED to have all their long guns out like that....now they're 12' behind a counter where you can barely read the tag IF it's facing you.
