I was at the road gate at 8:09 and was 6th truck in line, should have seen the look on the guys face when I pulled up with a 8x 12 foot trailer. Got into the line up a little late because we had to park in the VIP to get in and out with that damm trailer, but was still only 15 people back. When they opened they made you get a wrist band and swipe your DL to enter but they went fast and we got into the ammo tent to find the usual croud.
Now here is where the mind seperated from my pocket book and I got hosed on the .40 cal Winchester White box at 3-100 packs for $149. I can get them at FF for $35.99 each.
The 9mm WWB was $134.99 per 3 - 100 packs. The American Eagle .22lr baged in 250 round bag was $19.99 so that is $40 per brick. You were limited to one bag per caliber per person.
I couldn't carry any more so I just paid the piper and got out of the way, went to check on my 100 cases or Federal Top gun trap loads and was told that my order was wrapped and ready. So off to the shooting tents we went. Shot the SIG AR in .308, really like that rifle. Watched the 3 gun guy shoot his shot gun, then decided to walk back intoo the ammo tent to see how much was left.
Tons of 5.56/.223,9mm,.45acp,.38/.357 and .44 mag, couldn't believe there was so much 5.56 ,.223 and 9mm left so I bought a high priced case of Federal 9mm.
Then we went to load up our trap loads only to find that they over sold the heavy loads and the first guys through got their orders filled but mine would have to be filled with all lights. I explained to the Federal guy that I was going to just cancel my $5300 order and buy from FF if I couldn't get at least half my order filled with heavy loads.
Funny how they find those missing heavy loads when they are going to loose $5300 if they don't.
So off we went with my 3500lbs trailer asking me why I had to treat it so bad:)
