Bought a cute little toy tonight

Postby greenfarmer on Tue Apr 16, 2013 7:18 pm

Wife, daughter and I ran to little crow shooting sports today for a bit and ended up bringing home this cute little guy. A new Ruger single ten in .22LR. Just a cute little thing. Came home and shot a few rounds off and my 10 year old daughter squeezed off her first rounds with a pistol and loved it!

Congrats! Should be a fun shooter!

Very nice! That's probably the same one I was looking at the other week(I'm in Hutchinson). I was really torn between the Single 10 and the SP101. I walked out with the SP101. But I still want one of those Single 10s. And a Bearcat, and ........

I hear ya! I want, and want and want! Thankfully the wife always just says... I don't care! But she has thrown this stipulation in too, that for every gun, that's just another purse!

I love dealing with little crow. Bought many guns from them in the past and Jim, Katy, Justin and Dick are always nice to deal with.

Yes, I enjoy going there. I feel pretty lucky that I can be there in about 3 minutes. And they typically have a pretty good selection of powders/primers, etc. Although things have been pretty sparse lately. But that's everywhere.

That looks like a nice gun. Should be a very good pistol to show the little ones how to shoot.

Those are fun little guns. I have a 6 shot model with the extra 22 mag cylinder. It goes with me every time I take the dogs for a walk as skunks, porcupines, and other vermin seem to find them regularly. It is a fun gun indeed, I am so glad I bought mine. You will enjoy yours too.

Yeah, it's a 20 minute drive for me, but well worth it. 22LR is hard to find anywhere, and 9mm, and .223 is as well. But they have everything else on the shelves. Still had a couple boxes of .223 there today. But as far as guns, they have alot on the shelves, and priced very competively. I bought a safe there last week on that semi load they had come in. Some very nice scratch and dent high end safes available yet. And some that are brand new. I was surprised at how marked down some of those high dollar safes are!

My daughter just loved shooting it. She was a little worried about the "kick" that it might have. But she's only used to using the Daisy. Hasn't even tried the 10-22 yet. But jumped right to this and thought it was real neat. She's got the whole BB gun thing down and now she can make the pop can's dance across the yard. So i'm gonna work on paper targets with her with this little guy. Such a fun little one to shoot. And good one for them to learn on.
