Well lets see if the market crashes on Armslist now??

Postby tabberski on Wed Apr 17, 2013 8:49 pm

Very happy with the vote today. I suspect we will see a drop in the trumped up values of the firearms and ammo very soon. They better dump it quick for any retaining value. Unless of course Minnesota does something FUGLY. But I'm hoping this vote takes the wind out of their sails also.

I've noticed firearm prices dropping on Gunbroker the past few weeks. I can only assume ammo will follow soon. :D

Give it another 6 months for all the manufactures to catch up then it will be ok, but by then thell bring the bill back up, since dirty Harry voted no on it he can bring the bill back at any time he wants to, so we are not out of the woods yet till all the gun grabbers are voted out!

They still have a couple of amendments today AND the actual bill to vote on. The prohibitionists are still on the warpath.

Dirty Harry pulled the entire bill...for now... There were 2 votes due today which, apparently, won't happen now. The House is wading into their bill, so it's not over yet... The House has less of a chance than the Senate to pass anything this year though...

Now everyone who missed the signals before, as well as all the new gun owners are realizing the panic is over, theymwill begin aggressively stocking up for the next one... a bit of self- fulfilling prophecy manifestation.

Yup. I said that several times.

I've actually been stocking up since day 1, so for me it's more of a "ok, prices have come down to normal so I can go on about business as usual and stock up like I normally do." It's not so much starting for me, as it is resuming.

Supply will take a while to re-balance. Buy cheap, pile deep. If the economy (not stock market) sputters, many folks will make the choice to turn their hobby back into cash, even at a loss. Be there with cash.

I'm worried the table is set for another mid-term elections rush if Dem's gain more seats....market may not even have time to normalize before that happens.

I am not a proponent or opponent of either party, so let me ask this....

If we had all all Republican Senate and House on every state level as well as in the federal government, would the sky open up with rainbows abound while little fairies would sprinkle diamonds on us and gold would fly out my arse? I see a lot of democrat party hate on this forum and the impression I'm getting is that if everything was Republican that everything would be sihny, new and perfect.....and it wouldn't be. BOTH parties are part of the SAME system. It's like arguing that if you chopped off your left arm, then everything would be ok because now only the right arm exists. Both are part of the same body.

What we need is someone outside of these parties to lead.
