I think I posted somewhere else that they had 2100 ct. Fed. bulk-pack (four boxes of 525 in an ammo can) on Friday morning. I got a can, ran to Fleet Farm for some stuff, and it was almost gone by the time I returned.

The limit on the 2100 was one. I got one, went to Fleet Farm, then got another on my way back, then I got a third after a quick run to McDonalds.

There enforcement was in full force when I went. I got into a small battle with the checkout lady over my purchase. The rule is 5 boxes of centerfire rifle / pistol ammo. Combined any caliber. 5 boxes of 22lr. I had my 5 boxes of centerfire rifle, then I had 2 boxes of 17HMR... That threw her for a loop. We argued over that for a couple minutes until she called a manager. He told her the same thing I did... 17hmr is rimfire, and not regulated. During the whole ordeal, the best part was when my 3yr old daughter looked at me and said "daddy, she isnt very nice" Should have seen the look on the checker's face.

Yes. I praised her for that one. I kinda had it out for that lady. She is always unpleasant to deal with. I live a few miles from cabelas, so I'm a regular... Last time I was buying 9mm ammo, before the crunch. Se asked if it was for a rifle or a pistol. I answered "Yes". I explained that I have both rifle and pistol in 9mm, so I wasn't lying. That threw her into another fit. I thought it was funny, she didn't see the humor. Some people need to lighten up. Life is short.

It is kind of funny; if you think about it. You need to be 18 or older to purchase rifle ammo; and 21 to purchase handgun ammo. It is great that the sales person does not even know why she is asking; she is just being prompted by a stupid screen on her register.
