I had to rescue it....

Postby Mauser98 on Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:35 pm

So, I am driving through Wadena today, and thought I would see what the LGS was like. Nice shop, great owner, and after chatting for a bit, I glanced down at what I thought was a comp'ed 1911. Then I noticed it was a Coonan. :o:o:oI couldn't believe my eyes, there in his inventory, for sale. With the waiting list of a year plus to order one, there it sat. Well, the 300 BLK build is gonna have wait a little bit now.

I wonder if the fire ring still happens with the compensator. :D:D

Yes, it does. The pic I posted was the from the same model. You get a bonus of getting to see the flaming basketball shoot out of the top of comp now!

If you have never owned one you are going to love it. I've had my Classic for about a year now and it is a super nice pistol. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

sweet...that comp does an amazing job of reducing recoil on the Coonan

I've been stuck in Dickinson since the day after I bought it. Can't wait to get home and run some rounds through it. Now if I could find some magnum primers to light the W296, for a nice hot load, that would make it all the better when I do finally get to shoot it. I'll have to compare the recoil between the Coonan and the 27-2. It'll be a blast. pun intended
