Officials guilty in Obama, Clinton ballot petition fraud

"The case raise questions about whether in 2008, then candidate Obama actually submitted enough legitimate signatures to have legally qualified for the primary ballot.
“I think had they been challenged successfully, he probably would not have been on the ballot,” Levco told Fox News.

Under state law, presidential candidates need to qualify for the primary ballots with 500 signatures from each of the state's nine congressional districts. Indiana election officials say that in St. Joseph County, which is the 2nd Congressional district, the Obama campaign qualified with 534 signatures; Clinton's camp had 704.

Prosecutors say that in President Obama's case, nine of the petition pages were apparently forged. Each petition contains up to 10 names, making a possible total of 90 names, which, if faked, could have brought the Obama total below the legal limit required to qualify. Prosecutors say 13 Clinton petitions were apparently forged, meaning up to 130 possibly fake signatures. Even if 130 signatures had been challenged, it would have still left Mrs. Clinton with enough signatures to meet the 500 person threshold.

Levco said a total of “100 to 200” signatures had been forged on Obama’s and Clinton’s petitions."

I'm still hearing my liberal friends bitch about 2000 and 2004. They still won't recognize Bush as ever being duely and legitmately elected President.

I'm hardly shocked that this happens for Obama.

I don't see any bitching, I see something related to politics being brought up for discussion in the politics forum.

Wouldn't surprise me, he seems to be pretty good at manipulating things to get what he wants.

Oh, election fraud happens. And it's usually caught, as we can clearly see. Not to mention your preferred way of preventing it (voter ID) doesn't actually prevent it; rather it's just a way to prevent people who can legally vote from doing so.

As long as we are considering political fraud, my concern is that Obama doesn't try for a 3rd and permanent Presidential term. US Constitution documents say 2 term limit BUT we all know how he feels about out Constitution and Bill of Rights. Impose Marshall Law, disband the Election process, etc. Executive Law has been abused (all presidents do, but to sign an Executive Law because Congress fails to do his bidding, raises concerns).

Actually, it's only very rarely caught, because the system is very carefully designed to make it next to impossible to detect.

How exactly would it do that?

Because it does? Both sides of this issue agree that it would affect a significant number of people. It's not really in doubt. The Republican governor of Pennsylvania specifically said that voter ID laws are designed to help get Republicans elected.

Because it does?? Well, can't argue with that logic.

So the same Republican Governor of Pennsylvania who signed the state's voter ID law into effect said that voter ID laws are designed to help get Republicans elected? When and where did he say that?

I say if people can get off their butt to go and vote, they can get off their butt and get a photo ID. If they're too old, frail, lazy, or whatever, I'm sure there will be plenty of volunteers ready and willing to bus them just like when they bus them to the polling places.

I can totally understand why lefties are against any kind of voter ID law. I think everyone does.

From January:

President Obama could get 3 terms if H.J.Res 15 abolishes term limits
