Thanks for the feedback. I hadn't thought of consistent speed keeping other factors in balance for consistent shooting, not having to re-zero the scope, etc. That alone could save the shots not needed to be fired help pay for the chrono. I'm learning quickly that what you want may not be available and that alternatives can still get you what you need, so the chrono helping with that is a very good point.

I think I'll find someone's I can use first before jumping in with my otherwise-spent-on-reloading-supplies money. I need a few more basics like .45 brass and more primers of 3 sorts. I should keep cash handy for those times when I find some so I don't hesitate to get them.

Thanks for sharing.

Steve

Just remember when using someone elses chrono. You shoot it, you own it. There may be a few poeple on this forum that can tell you about that. Me, I just shoot my own, twice in one day.

Hah, got me on that one!

Doesn't mounting something to the end of the barrel like that really mess things up?

I'd be curious how it effects the harmonics of the barrel. With and without STD's changed the POA/POI up to a half inch @ 50yds (groups remained the same size, but in a different spot), so I'd expect at least some effect with the magnetospeed as well.

Whem I am shooting with my chrono; I am looking for how consistent my loads are; not weather I hit the center of the target or not. I am more concerned with S-D and group side. That being said; I have not noticed it pull things off at 50 yards.
