FF Rochester doesn't even have shelf space for handgun ammo anymore. They have storage boxes on those shelves now.

For the first time since I started noting such things, the rimfire ammo shelf at Oakdale had only maybe 2-3 small boxes of obscure shot shells- and what was a shocker: no 17HMR ammo at all. I was accustomed to picking up 100 rds or so at each past visit, because it was in reasonable supply, and cheaper than online, even with sale's tax. The only pistol ammo was some 45 Colt.

Wonder if they are moving it behind the counter again so cashiers do not have to deal with prying ammo boxes out of people's hands
Did you just buy that beautiful firearm, or are you trying to sell that piece of crap?

Carver FF had only a small empty space for handgun ammo. Everything else was turkey loads. They. Had signs saying No 9mm No. 40 No 45.
Well, when I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.

That's the FF nearest to me. Did those signs look permanent as in "We're tired of of the BS this attracts" or more like a temporary outage note?

Good news--Blaine FF has lots of 100-round boxes of 38 special--50 boxes at least. Bad news--they only allow you to buy 100 rounds per visit.

So apparently, yesterday a guy in the Lakeville Fleet Farm attempted to all 10 bulk boxes of .22 they put out on the shelves, but the store manager stopped him at the checkout and told him only one per person per day. Here's the interesting part. They just handled out the remaining 9 boxes to other folks as they were walking by, 'Here, you want to by some .22?' So I was at the right place at the right time and didn't have to walk to the back.

BTW, 2 days in row over 24 boxes 100 .38 sp on the shelf, 10 boxes of Rem .45 100 count as well.

Forgive my ignorance, I've never shot the bulk stuff. Is Federal generally the agreed upon, most accurate of the bulk manufacturers?

Depends on the gun. Most people i have talked to think so and I have one auto loader that federal runs the best in it but for accuracy, my .22 tack driver loved golden bullets better. If I am going for dime size groups at 50 yards that is the bulk pack I grab.
