We did the best we could with the stages and I thought it went fairly well other than taking a little longer than planned. I put on the 3GunNation Classifier "Down and Dirty", how did you like it? I would like to give some feedback to 3GunNation since it was the first official classifier put on by the MN3GunGroup. Also, a company that is sponsoring Nathan and I gave us the "zipper" target to take out an abuse. Well, mission accomplished. Other than some broken welds on the flipper parts, and learning that we should probably paint the flipper targets at the start of each squad, how was this target received? I am guessing if we made this a pistol only target (at shorter range of course) the target would have held up better.
I have to give kudo's to the crew that came from the Morris area. Chris, Adam, and crew really put on a show, both in the shooting but also how they handle themselves throughout the match, very impressive. Squad #5 was a hard working group that made setup a pleasure, they worked hard from the first stage to the last.
Thanks Brian. We had a really great squad yesterday. Always enjoy shooting with you and Nathan, as you can pretty much base how you're doing in a match by comparing your times against the Payne's. Overall it was a pretty good day for Team General Store yesterday.
I thought the stages yesterday were great. All the options left up to the shooter really made you think and evaluate things. The zipper target was great for a close range precision rifle target. Like you mentioned, it's a prototype. Get it back to them so they can fix it up for the next match. If they wanted a good test bed for their products, they picked a good one. 3-gunners are real good at breaking stuff!!
I liked the classifier stage, even though I tanked it......BTW, can I get a redo. Hopefully they come up with some more courses that use all 3 guns with a little longer COF for use at future matches. Looks like most of the courses in the library are really short/fast with just 1 or 2 guns. Some of those would be tough to slide into a match without causing a back-up at the next stage. Or maybe you could run it twice and take your best of the two times.....I kinda like that idea. At the very minimum you should allow just me to shoot it twice

See you all in Missouri at the Midwest Championships in a couple weeks.
