To quote Heffay from Thursday Nov 08, 2012

There will be no action, because there is no benefit. In fact, it opens them up to more attacks if they actually do something about guns.

You may see some hand-wringing, but nothing will actually be done. Not enough benefit, too much risk.

Oh, and assaults on conservative issues no longer needs to come from the liberals. The republican party is going to start beating down the tea party. It's not 2010 anymore. Their ship has sailed.

Guess Hefay was/is wrong. A gun bill WAS passed. This is why we can't stop our activism. Even thoug they said nothing would be passed this year here we are today learning something was.

Right. I guess if they passed something like reciprocity with more states or a suppressor bill, I would technically be "wrong" too.

Yes, my original post was tongue in cheek, however the fact remains they are not telling us everything they are doing. They're just being quiet about it.

I'd be happier if they didn't just roll over and got something nice to go along with it. But, this is a good bill and no harm is being done, so good on the legislature for actually doing something useful!
To the two forum members who have used lines from my posts as their signatures, can't you quote Jesse Ventura or some other great Minnesotan instead of stealing mine? - LePetomane

I meant more along the lines of us getting suppressors or reciprocity, but I hear ya.
