M&P15 sport bolt locking after every shot

Hello everyone I have searched google and on our forum here and can't find anything... If I missed it I apologize! I have a m&p 15 sport with about 1000 rounds through it and the bolt now locks back after every shot like it has an empty mag. I have been using pmc ammunition, pmags and only the furniture has changed. The carbine is cleaned regularly and I feel I have a pretty good understanding of how everything works... I have been shooting for many years mainly pistols and bolt action rifles. I hope I am just being a moron to be honest and I am doing something wrong... I have about 10 pmags and I use them all with the same result... If I am holding the weapon with the magwell and I hold down the paddle lever everything works great but obviously I do not want to do that... Please help!!!!

Do you have a battery assist device on the bolt catch lever?

I'd take off the BAD and see if it changes. It's possible your spring is weak or broken, the added weight of the lever isn't helping now.

or replace a weak spring. BAD lever should work just fine on the M&P

Yep, just needs a new spring. Taking the extra weight off was merely a trouble shooting step.

Well it looked like the "bad" was actually holding the paddle out from the upper by almost an 1/8".... I believe that with a little bit of dremel work on the back side of the "bad" lever I could get it to work...
