I wonder how many times he missed and they lost gut shot deer in the woods, no way you can follow up shot at that range.

What was the guy using? At that range, the loss of ballistic energy must be huge, even for a hugely powered round!

Due to skill level and experience, what may be a reasonable undertaking by one man may be completely irresponsible for another to undertake (and by "another" I mean just about everyone on the planet).

Projection of one's own lack of ability upon the actions of another is best done only after an objective evaluation of said "others" ability.

Depends on your definition. Setting up a long-range shot within your abilities is not all too easy. That's why most people can't do it.
