FF in carver actually counted how many boxes of 12ga shotshells I had in the case I bought to make sure I wasn't going over the 10 box limit, but they failed to notice my wife two cashiers over buying the second case

While Fleet Farm has raised prices as a reflection of what they are likely paying at wholesale (without the larger/longer term contract commitments that Wal-mart negotiated previously) and I don't see the giant leaps in price that some shops are choosing to make.
The supply problem isn't being helped by folks (like Sam who posted about it previously in this thread) who admit going in to these stores and purchasing their limit (sometimes with friends/spouses), running to their car to dump off a load and then running back in to clean off the shelves with another purchase... You don't get to whine about anyone gouging when you are directly participating in the behaviors (hoarding) that are wiping out the retail inventory while sitting on thousands and thousands of rounds, thus contributing to the supply problem that leads to higher prices for everyone.
There's nothing wrong with buying as much ammo as you want, or with retailers choosing to charge what the market will allow... whining about one while practicing the other, however, is simply hypocritical.
