ACTION: Encourage the Nevada Governor to Veto Gun Control

Easy. Don't have to talk to anyone. Took me less than 15 seconds. Pass it on...

Call 775-684-5670 and press “2” — to vote AGAINST the universal background check bill (SB 221). Again, you don’t have to live in the state. As noted above, you don’t even have to give your name or address — the entire process is automated and it will take you less than 13 seconds. So no matter where you live, please make this call for the sake of freedom!
Also, please distribute this alert to EVERY PRO-GUN PERSON you know — your family and friends, even your enemies — as long as they are pro-gun! We need to flood this hotline with people pressing “2.”

There are many reasons why ALL gun owners from around the country should call.
For starters, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is generating his own calls into the Governor’s hotline, encouraging the Sandoval to sign the background (registration) bill.
Mayor “Big Gulp” has posted a video where he encourages people from around the country to cast their votes.

Keep it up!

NW gun activists help fight Nevada background check bill

While Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval is reportedly mulling whether to sign or veto an expanded background check bill today, Northwest gun rights activists are throwing their weight behind efforts to convince the Republican governor to veto the measure while the Huffington Post yesterday noted that gun control groups are also applying pressure.

The Huffington Post refers to the group organized by former Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords, which says the gun rights battle in Nevada is “pivotal to future state battles.” No less might be said about the upcoming fight in Washington State over a big-bucks effort to buy an election in 2014 that will expand background checks and perhaps do other things. Nobody has yet seen a complete proposal.

Update: We did it!

Nevada GOP governor vetoes gun background checks bill

Nevada will not become the latest state to enact new gun-control regulations, after Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval on Thursday vetoed the Democratic state legislature’s universal background checks bill.

The legislation would have required a background check on any private gun sale. Sandoval said he approves of the bill’s aim and some of its provisions, but that it would infringe on Nevadans’ 2nd Amendment rights.

Excellent! I heard it wasn't going to pass when I was in Nevada recently.
