"designed to" and "must only be" are two separate things, you untrained, strawman-argument making, empty chamber OCing, persecution complex having, 300 yard pistol shooting internet tough guy.

Same here. The fact is that .45ACP has some setback issues, and thus why I don't carry one in the chamber.

How does one fire the gun if you never chamber a round? :?

My take away is once you chamber a 45 acp- just assume the gun is going to kaboom when fired....maybe hand it to your adversary?? :?

I've been shooting .45's for oh, 15 years now... I can't tell you when setback was ever a problem. I've never had a KABOOM. I guess I'm just lucky.

How is it we have this dangerous cartridge that's been around 100+ years when it's got such an inherent flaw? :rotf:

Well, there's the Bermuda triangle, but I think that's just a utopian paradise where people who go don't come back and are smart enough to make people think they died to keep the riff raff out.

My confusion is setback occurs while chambering so unless you never chamber around your risk of setback would be the same chambered round or carrying chamber empty and then chambering a round prior to fireing, Either way you have to chamber a round at somepoint if you want to shoot the gun correct?

He's going to "gently" slide one up in the pipe when he's in fear of his life and the BG is coming at him...

You can safely chamber a round and avoid setback. Any noob knows how. Just put .40 S&W cartridges in your. 45 ACP firearm. Voila, no setback. You also have crap accuracy, poor to no cycling, brass unusable for reloading, potential kaboom and worst of all a reloading troll scolding you. But no setback.

I guess if you only load the one round in the mag, Otherwise if the mag was fully loaded every round after the first one would be subject to setback wouldnt it?

Actually, setback is less the farther down in the mag you go, because the whole damn thing is caused by the top cartridges in a double stack mag feeding nose low because top rounds pop off the mag pretty anemically and/or nose down.

And I have changed my opinion about idjits loading 40's in 45 mags because they don't even stay in, and it's really caused by grabbing the wrong mag out of the range bag when you have both a 40 and a 45.

You just can't make this stuff up! :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Show me where it says you MUST carry the XDM I own with a round chambered because that is how it is designed.

Absolutely. Since I prefer to avoid a-holes, I'll be happy to avoid your classes and your posts from now on. Thank you for the warning. I clearly don't know everything, because I learned something about you today.
