Hello from Minneapolis

Postby jbrawny on Thu Jun 20, 2013 1:08 pm

Hello. I'm Jon. I am a gun lover and my collection includes a couple of Ar-15, shotguns and a S&W M&P. I have been wanting to get into some sort of shooting matches and I met a Minneapolis cop last week who told me about 3 gun matches and I want to get into that. Very nice cop and he gave me a website to look into, but I cannot remember it, but he did mention this forum. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

Thank you shooter115. I think that 3 gun group is the thing I'm looking for. It sounded that this cop is one of the people running it. I think his name was Billy and he offered to borrow me some stuff to get me started. I'm hoping to meet him again and talk about it. Seemed like a very nice guy. I'm going to try to make it there this Sunday, but I just might watch first.

To ex-LT, I actually live in Southeast Minneapolis, so do that make me in the right side of the river too?

To Doxapar, thank you.

Welcome from Edina. I hope you become a regular and enjoy your visits. I check this site a minimum of once a day, and learn something new regularly.

There are many nice people here and nearly everyone is willing to help each other out.

Thank you Pat Cannon and BigDog58. This sight has a lot of good information, some are funny, and some are downright scary or just wrong. Its a good reading though.

I think I found the Minneapolis cop I'm looking for and I'm hoping we gets my message soon.

Yes you did. I replied to your message with my direct contact info.

By the way, my offer still stands with that lawn repair.

Hey if you want to fix a yard look no further than this guy.....lol. Last nights storm uprooted at least a dozen trees in my yard. Including about 7 of my 30-50' spruce trees. Sad day around the Sell property.

You're right about that. There are some really good knowledgeable folks around here. Then there are those with their head stuck so far up their asses it's almost inconceivable. If you hang around here much it doesn't take too long to differenciate between the two....lol

To shooter115, I'm glad nobody got hurt. We got some trees down in the neighborhood and one fell on a neighbor's car down the street. Lots of branches down in the streets. But nothing major.

To Villy, thanks but I already fixed that small patch at my sister's yard with just one sod roll. Thank you for taking down that drug house next door to her. And thank you for taking the time to chat with me and for offering to fix that little yard damage. You gave me a whole different perspective on cops though I never knew one personally until I met you. You're a good man and I'm proud to have you in the force.
