Fleet Farm CEO running for Nolan's seat?

Even with the sudden disappearance of the marquee race against Rep. Michele Bachmann and businessman Jim Graves, Minnesota is set to be witness to yet another potentially epic congressional battle, this one taking place in the 8th Congressional District.

A source familiar with the thinking of Brainerd-area resident Stewart Mills confirmed that the Mills Fleet Farm executive has been exploring the possibility of running against Congressman Rick Nolan in 2014.

Sounds good to me!

The 8th CD would be Nolan's seat, not Bachman's. I would love to see Mills run against that half-wit. I'd definitely contribute to his campaign, even though I will be living in John Kline's district by then (I'll be contributing to Mr. Kline's campaign, as well).

I am extremely active in politics in this state and I have spoke with Stewart personally about this. All I'm going to say is be prepared for some orange yard signs ;)

The author of that article is also a friend of mine. Great guy.

Hope he makes it and gets national attention....he has biker length hair and probably has it a ponytail sometimes. That should look good on the House floor. His open letter video is smash-mouth....It'll be required viewing if he ever gets on one of the Sunday shows...

Here's the vid on Powerline Blog. http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2 ... buchar.php

Mills will get my vote and support. I will do almost anything to get rid of Nolan the WMB's lackey!

I was never so happy as when I read the morning news stating Oberstar had actually lost the election after having given his victory speech. Oberstar was always a POS and I could never figure out how the people kept voting him back in office. I realize that he paid off the unions in Northeastern MN. well in return for their support both with votes and money.

Sorry, but what's a WMB?

Too bad Brainerd/Baxter is the only population center that has a Fleetfarm in the 8th Congressional District. Would be nice if they opened one or two in Duluth before 2014. Being pro-gun is not a guarantee to win in the 8th -- unions in the Iron Range and Duluth. Remember we booted Oberstar up here because the repubs kept running pictures of Oberstar's chateau/mansion in France......being rich can get you in trouble in the 8th. sure hope he wins.
