I have no problem helping an old lady pick up her groceries! That's a very nice thing to do, and I go out of my way to help in situations like that.

I consider it a decent thing to do to call the cops when I see a crime in progress. Even video tape it if possible, as it may help in the prosecution. But there is a reason I joined the Navy and not the Marines. Don't like getting shot. Like warm bunks. Air conditioning. The finer things in life*. More power to those who don't have the same aspirations as I do though!

*operative word there.

Perfect and in your dream world everyone would be as passive as you, except for the police when they show up to rescue us. Guess what...if that's your dream I would suggest moving to England or several nations in Europe where you can live it out. A nation of nancies where people can be savagely beaten, mutilated and murdered in public, while everyone in the area sits back and video tapes it. Sorry, but as a society I think we can do better than that.

Why do I need to be brave? I have a forum FULL of operators here who would gladly risk their lives to save mine!

Well, then I won't have this handy forum to post on anymore I guess. I'll probably take up some gardening. Learn how to use GIMP 2.8 a bit better. Read some books on my list that have been sitting there a bit too long. TONS of new tutorials on Blender I should work on, as well as starting to learn how to use the Unity engine. That kind of stuff.

Then you must of not listened in your class....that there is when your life is in danger with a deadly weapon and deem to use your firearm if necessary.

I was being sarcastic. Just showing that protecting your property can lead to the need to use your weapon.
It is better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it.

Nope. She's friends with me for the same reason I'm friends with Goalie: You want someone bigger around just in case the bullets start flying. They make better shields.

So are you saying goalie is fat? Because according to your gameplan he and you are gonna jet and leave the other high and dry...

He's bigger than me, but far from fat. He's also not as smart, so I'm pretty sure I can get the jump on him if the shooting starts. Which is a good thing, because he's probably faster than me and will eventually catch up. I'm counting on getting a large enough head start that it won't matter by the time he does.

Sounds like you need one of those bulletproof backpacks!

When they make them stylish enough, I'll consider it. However, right now on the list of threats to my well being, getting shot is.. yeah. I'm not worried. We have TONS of people with guns out here in Phoenix, as well as Sheriff Joe, so between the guns and our tough on crime stance, there is zero crime!
