Guns of Liberty Trading

Postby hi-tower on Thu Aug 15, 2013 6:13 am

Just wondering if anyone has dealt with them before and if it was a good transaction? They have a pistol I am interested in but I have never dealt with an FFL dealer who is home based. Thanks for any and all info you can give me. They are located in Lakeville.

Thunderjohn on this board is a home based FFL and a great guy. There are others on here also.

Just like dealing with a gun store except you do the paperwork at their house. Same paperwork, same call to NICS etc.

I know it is the same as dealing with someone at a store and you have to fil out the same paperwork. I am more asking if anyone has dealt with particular company before? I can't seem to find any information on them on the web or anywhere else for that matter.

Guessing he's just getting started so hence not much posted about him yet. The FFL he has posted on his website was applied for this spring. Assuming it was not a renewal he has not been in business that long. Also his Facebook page says the company was founded in 2013.

Thanks for the info Grim. I do not have facebook so I could not go on there and get any information. Looks like there is not much to go by since he is so new. I guess the best thing to do is give him and call and see how he is. Just looking since he has the best price around for the item I am looking for. Maybe I just need to look harder. :D

If he has the item at the best price what is really the question? If it's new the warranty is with the mfg, not the dealer. If it is used you get to look it over just like a brick and mortar store. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from a store you have never been in so there should be no hesitation here either.

Reason why I answered the way I did to begin with.

I just bought something from Tyler (Guns of Liberty) about 2 weeks ago. He was responsive, communicative, and an all-around nice guy.
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.

Just want to make sure I deal with some one who is on the up and up. I know I would not deal with him after the fact since the item is new. I guess with a store there is a sense of legitimacy at least from my end. Probably just me and I need to get over it. Just need to give him a call and go from there. Just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with him before and it looks like someone has and it was good.
