My employer does have signs posted outside the building indicating firearms are not welcome on the premises. The way I see it, the employment agreement is "at will" and neither of us (my employer to me and I to my employer) have any serious level of commitment to each other. Therefore, I will continue to carry firearms in my vehicle at my pleasure and convenience. There have been times when I've wanted to head to the range right after work and it doesn't make sense to me to have to drive home, then head to the range. If/when I get my PTC, and if/when I ever decide to carry, I'll carry concealed and no one will be the wiser. I don't pass through metal detectors, or am subject to any security screening process. So unless the unthinkable happens, like a shooter enters the building and into my department, or I have a medical crisis causing concealed carry secret to be exposed, I'll just have to accept any consequences.
"The man who lies asleep will never waken fame, and his desire and all his life drift past him like a dream, and the traces of his memory fade from time like smoke in air, or ripples on a stream." -Dante Alighieri
