Anyone know someone who has a 12-42X56 NXS MLR RETICLE scope they would like to sell. I am looking for good used one first or I will just buy one new. I am ready to shoot past 1000 yds.

When you get one, I'd love to look through it. I have the 5.5-22 NXS. I'd like to see how the 42 performs.

Does the 42 have the MOA adjustment range that the 22 has?
Or are you going to have to use adjustable MOA bases and rings to reach out to your desired range?

Just a consideration for you.

Just got a Armalite AR50. I have a big green box of loaded ammo surplus tracer, 200 once fired brass, powder, primers, and 300 bullets. RCBS 50 BMG loading kit $1000 retail (wow). This thing (gun) kind of scares me. I am need to go out with some the first time. I mean who knows about them.

I can help you with the AR-50.

I \rebarreled mine after 3800 rounds thru stock barrel. Used a Feddersen 35" barrel blank. Accuracy is much improved.

I can teach you how to reload it.

We need to get together, I do not have a scope for it and I am not going to buy a $2000 scope right now just too much money and that is what I need ultimately. I am just going to get a Bushnell elite 3200 10x40 to get stated. I see that Barrett ships one of their 50 BMG packages with this scope as a starter package so it must stand up. I will surely find a home for it after I get the right one. My cost on the scope is about $200. Unless you have something reasonable or know of some one? I have a member ship to the Faribault gun club and we could shoot there up to 600 yards. I have a 1000' rifle range at my lake home (my airstrip for my plane) that would be fun for us to shoot some day or make a week end out od it. .

Some of my surplus was basically free, some at $0.79 each, some at $1.19, rest at $1.93 each.
My reloads using surplus cost about $1.10 each.
My target loads are $3.25 each.
