Thanks to "OldMan"

I wanted to send a hearty 'Thank You' to OldmanFCSA who, very kindly, introduced me the wise ways of reloading yesterday. Oldman is not only an incredibly experienced reloader and shooter (of really big guns), but also a heck of a nice guy. His teaching style is excellent and he dwells on the importance of learning safe reloading skills above all else. I know that I have a long, long way to become proficient, but with Oldman's guidance I feel a heck of a lot more comfortable jumping into reloading of handgun cartridges, and possibly soon in the future I might take a stab at rifle rounds.

As far as equipment goes, Oldman's philosophy is to keep it simple and concentrate on the fundamentals. We worked with single stage presses learning each step along the way, and the importance of caution and attention to detail. He is very knowledgeable about powders, brass, primers and everything you can imagine, and he shared some great stories while I was working at the presses. Added to which, we were in the constant company of Murphy, who is a wonderfully affectionate dog who keeps residence in the reloading room.

If you are ever interested in learning how to reload, don't hesitate to contact OldmanFCSA. He's on the forums here quite a bit and is worth every cent of time you spend with him. I look forward to learning more in the future, and the world needs more people like him. Lastly, if you get the chance to meet him, have him show you his competition rifle (wow!).

Sam - I know you're chomping at the bit to jump in here, so go ahead :D

Thanks Oldman!
I owe you a lot more than I can say.

Oldman has the patience of a Saint. He has put up with at least as much n00b idiocy, ignorance, and stupidity as I have, and he can put up with it and I can't. So he's a better man than I am, and that's all there is to it.

OldmanFCSA has tremendous knowledge and far more patience than most. He has taught me more than I could EVER have learned on my own. You can read books and watch Youtube videos, but NOTHING replaces the Hands-On experience of someone of Doug's (Oldman) caliber.

And, just meeting Murphy was well worth my time. He is the best reloading and shooting dog out there. I am proud to call both Doug and Murphy my friends. Both know they are welcome in my home ANY time.

If anyone is considering reloading, it is truly in your best interest to pay OldmanFCSA a visit. It will assure that when you go load ammo on your own, you will have a firm foundation. If you listen to his advice, you will be a safe reloader and will produce Top Notch ammo, that the big manufactirer's can only dream of producing.

Thank you Doug for EVERYTHING you have taught and shared with me. :thankyou:
