Can a disabled guy with very limited mobility (I sometimes need to sit in my wheelchair to shoot and can only ealk with the aid of a cane, very short distances) shoot in this league?

Would a G17 with trigger and sight inprovements be able to shoot in these leagues? I would be a total Noob, as the last competitive pistol shooting I did was back in the mid 80's

OK, I signed up for the orientation. Am I correct in understanding (from reading http://www.bvpistol.com/ipsc1.htm) that if my ammo is in a .357 case, it's automatically Major power factor? Not that I would be such a gamer...

[edit to add:]The guys at BPR tell me the orientation does involve shooting but they don't know how many rounds I need. So how many do I need?

Good question, BD. We'd have to modify some of the procedures, but I don't see why not. Two things to consider are: hitting cases on the floor with your wheels (sudden stop???), and moving over the foam strips we use for shooting boxes. If you come to the orientation, we'll see if those would be an issue.

The G17 is an excellent pistol choice. If your "sight improvements" don't involve optics or red-dot sights, they shouldn't be a problem (if you are using either of those choices, you'd just shoot in a different division). As to the trigger, if it's too light, it would be unsafe. Ask me to check it when you show up.
