I don't see where the ATT, even if it should be ratified by 50 member nations, ratified by the US Senate, and implemented in the foreseeable future, has any capacity to affect domestic firearms laws. I do see a lot of scaremongering by the NRA and other gun rights groups on the issue but I haven't seen them explain exactly HOW the ATT is going to "screw" us.

The fear is that a country like Mexico could demand the US do something to stop the flow of illegal arms flowing across the US/Mexican border.

Any guesses on what the current administration would do to accomplish this?

I do think it is odd that the pacifists in the UN feel that armed law abiding citizens in the US are more of a threat than rogue dictators with nukes and gasses. My hunch is that the UN is probably the largest gun running operation in the world.

Am I really concerned about UN forces composed of Swedes, Dutch and the like coming after my firearms? Hell no!! BHO and Eric Holder are more of a concern for me.

Don't underestimate the head games played in basic etc. In 1966 I probably would have done whatever I was told by my superiors............

In my last MP unit, I would have stood proudly with that unit. A lawful order was understood from the full COC.
