That explains why I can't find any in Rochester.

I bought 42K rounds and they still had plenty left when the sale ended I wish I would have bought more because I gave far too many away as Christmas gifts.

Since WHEN after Dec. 14th has ANYBODY had that much .22LR available, much less at that price?? I smell a GM stooge here!!! Seriously, you buy 42,000 rounds of ammo and there's still lots left??

Yeah, and I'm George Clooney, and rich and famous, and I gotta beat all the hawt wimmin away from me with a stick!!

Who said anything about being after Dec. 14?? You conveniently left out the part of my post that said "before the madness". So I guess I have to spell it out for you the Grand re-opening at the Lakeville store was 2 years ago and they had what I'd guess were a couple pallets of Federal 22lr bulk pack in stock for the sale and there was a ton left when the sale ended in fact they always had at a table full of the Federal bulk pack displayed for the next 15 months before all the madness started. Price at $21.99 their every day price $2 higher than the competition.

My point was there are still deals to be had from time to time at GM even though their everyday prices ARE high. I have not bought any ammo or guns in there in 11 months but I stop in from time to time to see what is in the used gun case. The last time I saw any 22lr in there is was CCI SV in 50 round paper packs they priced it at $5.99 and it sat for 3 days then they lowered it to $4.99 and then it disappeared. FF had CCI SV plastic 100 pack for $6.89 the week before - that is the normal price!

I should note that this is years worth of buying twice as much as I shoot. The only ammo I've bought since the panic is 7.5 swiss, not exactly a high demand caliber. I've passed up what little ammo has shown up on the shelves to give everyone else a chance to get some, so nobody blame me for the shortages nowadays.
