My first real/wheel gun. (S&W 586)

Since getting into and aquiring a small collection of semi auto pistols over the past few years I decided it was finally time to put a revolver into the mix. I knew from the beginning I wanted a classic looking smith and wesson 357 that was blued and had wood grips. After doing some reasearch online and looking at all the different models I really liked the look of the 586 with the full length underbarrel lug it had. I was also excited to find out they did a rerelease of it last year. One thing I didnt realize was how hard it would be to actually find one but after visiting and calling about 8 different stores with no luck arenzen arms had a new one just come in when i called. After shooting this thing once with both 38s and 357s I think Im now hooked on to revolvers. :lol:

May I ask the price of this? I am looking for a .357 with 3"-4" barrell. I still regret selling my two 686's (no dash) that I bought back in the 80's. Dumbest sale I EVER did! Now I want a larger framed .357 for my wife to practice her shooting/reloading with .38 spcl loads. I want the heavier gun to help with felt recoil.

Nice weapon! I love shooting wheel guns, I've got them in 5 calibers and love shooting them all! I also have semi-autos and shoot them too!

I got this one for 750 which was about the same as the other stores that I got a quote for ordering one in. I think cabelas has them listed online for 800. This gun is definitly on the heavy side and recoil is very minimal even when shooting 357s through it.

very nice ..... smith's are great! I love my smith wheel guns ...... how about trying a single action next ? maybe a colt clone?
