Also have 10 slugs on hand. We will our final 3 Gun Nation classifier so you need 3 dollars extra if you are shooting for points.

Set up at 0730. To expideite and get us shooting by 1000 we will begin registration early, so please be on site to begin registration by 0830.

We are going to allow shooters to have slung long guns for the SCAPSA 3-Gun Match on October 5th. Some of the stages will be designed specifically for this. For those of us that will be attending the Blue Ridge 3-Gun where slings are used, this would make for a good practice.

Slings will not be mandatory, just allowed for those who may want to use one for practice. For those who choose not to use a sling, their long guns will be pre-staged as usual. It is actually faster to use a staged gun rather than a slung one.

The rules of using a slung gun is that it will be COMPLETELY UNLODADED (magazine removed and/or no ammunition loaded) and the bolt must be open. The 180-rule will apply the moment the shooter transitions to the slung gun and begin to load it. At no point should a magazine or any ammo be inserted into the gun until the barrel is pointed downrange.

I am coming to practice my sling work before BRM3G. I lay the gauntlet down for anyone else wishing to challenge themselves.

I will be at the Clearwater Truck Stop for breakfast at 0645 hrs. for anyone that wants to join me prior to heading to the range for set up.

For those of you practicing for the Blue Ridge 3-Gun, this would be a good opportunity to put in your round limitor in your shotgun. Blue Ridge has a restriction of 8 round max in the magazine tubes.

For you hunters out there, Jomar is talking about a "plug".

Thanks for the clarification Jay. It's been a while since I've had to use one for hunting. The only hunting I do now is one where it would be crazy to put one of those things in our guns.

I've gotten a couple of calls, emails, and PM's asking about the match. Weather forecast is calling for rain through Saturday morning. It's too early to tell how the weather will actually be. You all know how fast weather can change.

The match is still a go. We are not canceling the match unless there is lightning or just a complete downpour. Stay tuned, but it'll probably be Friday night at the earliest before we make any announcement. Hope for the best.

Great event as always guys. My wife and I had a great time ( and I think we got a new three gunner!). Thank you again for all you do. I know it takes a lot of time to makes these events happen.

The scores for the SCAPSA/MN3GG 3-Gun Match are posted.
http://mn3gungroup.org/wordpress/wp-con ... -MN3GG.pdf

44 shooters braved the uncertain weather to come out and shoot. We had a little drizzle during set-up but the rain held off for almost the entire match. The sun even popped through the clouds for a bit. The rain arrived as we were finishing up and it hardly affected any shooters.

Special thanks to the SCAPSA crew (Bob, Ross, and Bill) for being a great host. This was SCAPSA’s last match of the season. We look forward to returning there again next year.

This was a fun match. Squad 1 was a great crew and reset went very fast. Some new and upcoming shooters were showing their stuff, very impressive, it was a pleasure to watch. As usual I am so impressed with Allen Emblom and his ability to run and gun with the best shooting Tac Iron and faster on his feet than most guys half his age. An inspiration for me that is for sure.

It was good to get in a little live fire action using slings. I am hoping that this will pay off at BRM3G.

My favorite part of the match. Two gentlemen and a daughter were there to watch. I had also seen them at the last Forrest Lake 3-gun. We had a little time to talk about the sport and we may have just converted a few more.
