FYI. Midway is telling me that the expected date for the Uplula loaders is 9/5/07. So much for the 8/3/07 "expected date" that they listed last Friday. At this point, the site doesn't say if this September date is an expected "in-stock" v. shipment v. some other date. Will let everyone know if I hear anything additional from them.

Thanks,
Mark

Status report:

I received in this morning's snail mail (8/10) a paper "invoice" from Midway with the following information on it:

"Backorder Summary. Maglula UPLULA Universal Pistol Magazine Loader and Unloader. We issued a purchase order for this but the vendor has been unable to supply us with the product. As more information becomes available, we will notify you."

Thanks,
Mark

Postby Tabsr on Mon Aug 13, 2007 9:36 pm

bought mine 2-3 weeks ago at Cabella's in Rogers. works great. $21-22 price. Did not have the loader for the AR-15 in stock.

Midway is now showing expected date of 9/4/07 instead of the 9/5/07 date it showed last week. I know it's not the exact information we're all looking for but it's better than nothing. Maybe Midway got news from the manufacturer of soon to be delivered shipment. Will let you guys know if anything new develops.

I'd like to also take this opportunity to thank tabsr for throwing some fuel on the "why aren't they here yet" fire. ;) :P ;)

Only had 3 or 4 on the rack. Sales rep had no idea about them. Thought it was also listed on DPMS or maybe only for the AR15 which I need to order. Old guys loose memory. Tired of the bloody thumb loading the 30 and 40 mags.

Just posting a status update. No new news from Midway. Estimated in-stock date is still listed as 9/4/07. Will let everyone know if I hear anything between now and then.

I've seen them at some places but not for the $21.63 we are paying. Because they are out there, I have to believe Midway will have them shortly. Next week is already the 4th of September so hopefully we'll learn something then.

Thanks for everyone's patience.

Bought mine at Cabella's in Rogers a month ago, $21-22. It is great. Only place that had it right on the display rack.

Update from Midway.

New expected date for Midway to receive product from Uplula is 10/19/07. That sucks but so be it. It would be nice to have the darn things already but our thumbs and other methods of loading magazines have worked this long so I suspect we can all wait another six weeks. I have no other details from Midway, and of course, the new expected date isn't cut in stone. I have to believe that Uplula is simply behind in production because of the huge success this product is currently enjoying.

As soon as I hear anything new, I'll let you know.

Thanks.
