Wow! That is quite the unit. Lots of cool features. Not sure I could spring $1200 for it but it would definitely be need to have.

I'm impressed with how steady the video is. I expected more vibration.

What is the practical wind speed limit for flying one of these?

The couple hundred buckers is almot none. For the high buck ones have much better gyros etc but depends on the pilot. The over a grand ones will stay where you put them even if you set the transmitter down. BTW even with the one shown you would have to add close to 50% more for pilots point of view.

Since it was a draganflyer not a Xpro the title should reflect that but both are in the same quality area. Good show on the stability of GPS gyros and hovering in place. MAJOR bonus when doing aerial photography.

I had no part in naming it! :D
But yeah, the X-pro is basically a Draganflyer on steroids. A LOT of steroids.

I would love to have a flyer like the OP and previously mentioned models to buzz around but just can't justify the cost. And even if I could, my wife would not. ;)

would love to also but having $1200 bucks lying around would probably end up getting another gun (as if I need one). Maybe if I sell off all the radio control stuff I already have and never use............................

Then you can film Man V Man from up near the berm. Think how cool that would be. 8-)

Think of the quality footage you would get from that.

$1200.00? Thats spendy. On mine, if you were to do that, it would return to 'home' AND land. I could do a setup similar to that for 700.00 easy.

check it out at 27 seconds - looks like he repainted the DJI Phantom linked earlier in the thread.

http://www.dji.com/product/phantom/

BTW he is in Canada where they can use them commercially. Here we still can't until the FAA gets off their behinds. Can be used recreationaly.

Are the controls for these modular like parts for RC cars?

Is it possible to buy a radio, receiver, add servos etc, with individual parts, or is it all pretty much proprietary circuitry and you're stuck with what came with the bird?
