Is "Minnesota State Police" Stamp on revolver rare?

Postby gjlog on Tue Nov 05, 2013 11:43 am

Hello All,
I have come upon a Smith and Wesson revolver, Model 65, .357, nickel, engraved “Minnesota State Police”. Is this stamping rare?

Nope, was on about every model 65 revolver issued to MSP. :D

I think Bill's had a special on them not too long ago if I remember right.

Minnesota State Police or Minnesota State Patrol? Minnesota doesn't have a state police.

My apologies for two errors, both due to my poor eyesight at close distances.
The model is actually S+W 681.
It says, "Minnesota State Patrol".

Not sure if they are rare. Don't see S&W 681s every day. One stamped with Minnesota State Patrol would be cool. I would buy one if in good condition and not over priced.
