I have been slowly accumulating my reloading supplies for the past couple months.

I now have basically everything I need, so I had to build a bench.
I used mostly lumber I already had on hand so it didn't cost very much. (if you had to buy everything maybe $60)

What is nice about this design is that it goes together pretty quick after making all the cuts.
It is also very sturdy (once you attach it to the wall).

pair of 2x4's and a 1x4 ripped in half
Image

got some fiber board laminate shelving, cut them to 18".
They can be wider but you need to add some bracing, they tend to sag if there is too much weight on them.
Image

Then three 2x6's glued and screwed to some plywood, then attached to the pair of shelves.
Image

Then glued and nailed a piece of plywood to the top of the 2x6's, and finally one more sheet of plywood to the entire back of the whole works. which I screwed into the wall studs.
Image

The dimensions: 6' wide, 18" deep and 42" tall. It is a bit on the small side but I could take up too much more space in the basement. I already have a much larger work bench, plus some old desks.
Image

I just have to seal the wood, and attach my two presses.

Slightly more organized now, I've added 2 filing cabinets to keep stuff in.

Here it is. Let me know if you are looking for someone to process your brass or load some ammo (only 223 and 9mm for now).

Looks awesome. Which autodrive are you using? Doesn't look like the Ponsness Warren.
I called them to ask about their (1050) autodrive and military 308 and they were honest enough to not recommend.

it is from this guy. great to deal with. the only downfall is that it turns the super into a rl1050 (shortens the stroke). so in your case it will not work on 308. i have heard that the Ponsness Warren has some issues.

Post em up! Let's see those reloading benches

The windows have always been a plus and a minus but I have a cover that's always on it. My Dillon wanted to pose for the pic so I said why not..... Lol

As far as cleanliness I'm a neat freak for my garage!!! I've been a tech my whole life so my work spaces must be clean. What this pic doesn't show is the 25 4ft fluorescent lights, heater, and floor drain. Also three ceiling fans. With all the lights on its 12 noon no matter where you stand... I hate shadows!!!!!

What? Doesn't everyone do it like this?

If anyone knows what each step is, I'd be interested to learn about it.

I might as well just post a pic of me holding a stick sitting on a beanbag with a tv tray in the utility closet. Some pretty amazing reloading benches and rooms in this thread. I am a newbie and my pictures will prove this. But you gotta start somewhere right?

2 weeks into the reloading game although I have yet to complete a single reload. Starting with a Lee 4 turret classic. For a reloading top I'm using a new countertop originally meant for the basement kitchen we decided not to use. Some 4x4 legs screwed together through some 6x6"s cut from a 1x6x8, those screwed into the 1 1/2" countertop from bottom and other end of legs with 6x6"s screwed into the 3/4 plywood I have over my carpet. Had no choice but to use upstairs spare bedroom because basement is used by kids and friends, and being we will be selling and moving by late 2015 I'm not tearing up fairly new carpet or screwing into walls, studs or floor. Just hinged the two 4x8 plywood together plus two of the six legs are screwed into the second 4x8 making it damn snug. Everything level and solid as can be.
Going to spray paint some firearm related stencils onto the plywood for attitude, I was a kid who had to have posters plastered all over his room so maybe it's just the kid in me not liking the plain jane plywood look. This is my room, and is the only room in this house I rule over, I don't even have control of my garage anymore. I will probably move a tv and stereo in here to.
Moving in the tool chest, air compressor, cleaners, table vices and all kinds of stuff I'm forgetting soon. I don't know what setting up your first reloading room felt like for most of you but for me it's intoxicating. I just want to start pumping out ammo now. Don't wanna work just wanna reload. I actually had a dream about reloading a few nights ago it's so embedded in my brain now. Time for Prozac maybe? I may have to move my army cot in here and sneak outa bed some nights.

Anyway this is the beginning and I will post updates as I finish it off, hopefully with a better camera. Any suggestions or criticisms welcome. Only have a new AR build and a DE .50 strip/duracoat and spring kit job planned in the next few weeks so reloading bench will be remaining fairly inactive for awhile.

Nice job. I would suggest leaving the TV out. You don't want to be watching TV while you're reloading. It does require undivided attention. Just my $.02. I do love having my tunes playing in the background when I'm loading so stereo is cool.
