I wouldn't call it memorabilia, I'd call it proof that the holocaust did happen. When people quit remembering or bury that horrid past is when history will repeat it's self.

Exactly... But trading in this Dreck is simply evil.

I bought it for what is is, not what it represents. Its an interesting caliber in an interesting format. If that makes me evil so be it.

Besides, it's not like I'm funding the Nazi's

FWIW, the original cartridge for the Model 95 straight pull was the 8x50R, that's what mine is chambered for.

The guy who was sorting brass at Oakdale came across some of that stuff last week, with the swastika headstamp from '38 and '40. No swastika on the 42 stuff. Kind of strange that that stuff is still floating around and shootable. Christ, it's 10 years older than either me or HammAR!!

I have a box or two of this stuff at home I think. I don't have anything to shoot it with, but i thought it was neat. I'll check it out and post a picture of the box if it's the same stuff. I think I got mine at SOG a couple years ago.

I bought a sealed can of Bulgarian 7.62x54R. The headstamps indicate they were manufactured in 1955. They've all gone bang.

Does ammunition, assuming it's kept reasonably dry and cool, ever go bad?
