To me that survey is a waste of time. It's a gun owners wish list. Do they really think gun owners would answer no to 99% of their questions?

You'd be surprised :)

It's not a waste of time, we've had nearly 1300 responses to this survey to date and gave us a number of insights that we didn't have before - and some valuable information that we'll use to gain ground, rather than continuing to play defense in 2014.

True it is a wish list but what in order and how hard people are wishing for things can be very insightful.

Is there a way to view the survey results? I for one would be very interested.

2014 Minnesota Gun Rights Survey

No. But Minnesota restricts fully automatic weapons to those on the federal Curio-Relic list, which is much more restrictive than the federal post-86 ban. Some people would like MN firearms laws to reflect the current federal law, where pre-86 machine guns and short barrel shotguns as well as suppressors are allowed under the NFA.

What is Minnesota's reasoning for the full auto and suppressor ban? Not likely to be used in a crime considering all the paperwork and background check crap required for it.

Are you kidding? Suppressors make instant silent ninja killers out of all who own them!

I guess I looked at it more as a 'what should we try and get (back) first', survey. Yes, I want everything, but I think it's good to have a survey that shows what is most important to most Minnesotans so you can concentrate your efforts better to get the most public backing.

Well, there you have it. We all know that a suppressor makes any firearm as quiet as a pellet gun. Just watch any movie.
