confirmation of speakers so far : Sheriff Richard Stanek of Hennepin CO and Constitutional Scholar Dave Benner who will speak on the origins of the 2cnd Amendment and the founding fathers intent.

Sparty, Could you do a 25 word summary of what The Sheriff had to say???

I'm stumped.... What's in it for him but 'static'

He's speaking to a bunch of gun owners and he could be criticized for that by a potential opponent,

My 'background' is that the recent Police Chiefs in Minneapolis have been '9-5'ers' with a clear lack of 'principle'

In the ranks of the police there's a 'go-along-to-get-along' attitude which means the Lefty's on the City Council are running the Police Dept.

During the recent challenges to the Constitution the Sheriffs across the country have shown themselves to be Honorable in their refusal to act contrary to Civil Rights.

My guess is that if Stanek were to be 'too frank' he might not get invited to the White House again and that's got to be a perk regardless of who's in office.

I couldn't imagine Tim Dolan (now in comfortable retirement) taking a night to show up at your meeting....Briefly,...What did Stanek have to say?

The Sheriff talked about the history and role of the Hennepin County Sheriff's office and shared some rather candid views. I found myself wondering how this guy got elected in Hennepin County.
