I was prepared to be outraged from the title, but Mr. Tattooee looks to be the chairman of loser-american studies at Knucklehead U. One of these days we will read about him shot for refusing police order to disarm.

Now in addition to Hepatitis, HIV and other communicable diseases that are transmitted through contaminated needles there is a new reason that tattoos can be harmful. Glad I never got one when my buddies were all doing it.

Yes, kind of hard to rally behind a moron.

Even if it was real what crime could he of been charged with? I mean he's on his own property. And stupid is not a crime.

just more gov bullsh.. Nothing to charge him with and not sure if he is a bigger moron, or the tree crew or the gov (OK correct answer is the Gov but it was close.

And the news report still shows a real handgun rather than a tattoo?????

not even close. just like the disarming and arrests in legal to open carry places videos, they don't even have a reason to respond to this. did he have a gun tattoed in his hand that he pointed at them when he told them to get out his yard? didn't they used to give notice when they would be trespassing? oh wait, I guess thats why its close!

I agree.

Maine is an open carry State, so even if the firearm was real, he broke no law, especially on his own property.

There was no justification for a SWAT team to set up outside his home armed, ready and aimed with AR's and the like.

Real gun or stupid Tattoo, he broke no law and these so called cops had no reason to respond the way they did.

Now, if the Tree crew told police that he was brandishing or waving his firearm in a threatening manner they should indeed respond as they did. There was no mention of this in the article, but if the tree crew did lie to Police, they should be the ones that get the Cops Knocking on their door.

No justification? Maybe. Maybe not. I'll play the devils advocate here and say this: what if this man was a known felon or prohibited person? If so, perhaps LE had reason to be concerned. Especially if this guy had a violent history.

Outside of these conditions, I'd think LE reaction is wholly inappropriate.
