9:11 That chair is empty now....

This is dedication: Weeknight after 9:00, sitting through BORING testimony....soon to be give the Bum's Rush by Senator Lasch.

It will be interesting to see how one gets past the 'Kryptonite' of the concept of 'Domestic Violence'

The newborn screening testimony was resulting in my uncontrollable yawning....didn't want to give Latz a reason to throw me out!

Lutz is testifying: Bill ADDS long guns as 'bannable' reason stated: 1 in 5 domestic murders are committed w/ long guns.

He is NOT a good witness.

Edit: Carol Arthur just threw out some Violence against women Kryptonite...1 out of 3 women will experience 'Domestic Violence'

That's what Joe Soucheray calls an 'Ass Statistic' ....a statistic you just pulled out of your ass. An example of how not to be a witness.

Mom's demand action :presence of firearms increases death by 500%

Thanks for showing up guys...I predict that the committee will vote the way they were going to vote before any 'public imput'

I'd like to see a 2 hour debate starting at 7:00 pm for the 'public testimony' section.

Joe Six pack is on now.

I love the language - we all need to use this.
This is the "cut and paste" law.

We're going to lose this.....Lutz is saying how you could just give the guns to your brother who lives across the street.

Thank You Volunteers.

Edit: he's going to tweak the bill with 'legal counsel'

How about saying this all a waste of time because if this passes it will eventually get thrown out by the judiciary as violation of the 14th amendment ones right to Due Process.

I still think the 'Violence against Women' Kryptonite is going to rule here. :)

It was worth it to stay just for the testimony from Andrew, Kevin and David!

Capitol Hearings Thursday 3/20

Postby jshuberg on Thu Mar 20, 2014 11:56 pm

I would like to thank everyone who made it out, and especially everyone else who stayed till the end. Especially the GOCRA folks and those who testified.

I'm left cautiously optimistic that Latz may actually be interested in fixing the bill and removing the infringing bits. I honestly didn't expect that. It will be interesting to hear what the legal guys at GOCRA make of the changes.

Passed out of committee on the promise the issues brought up will be addressed.

Yeah, that was unfortunate. David Gross was making a very important legal point, only to be cut short. I realize that normally everyone who wants to speak is given a chance, but given the 15 minute timeframe, that didn't happen. Considering who David Gross is and what he's done for the cause, it was pretty rude to cut him off like that in the middle of his testimony.

The "other" group needs to know when to "stop helping" when all they do is interfere like that.
