Rochester FFL

Postby JohnGageMN on Thu Mar 20, 2014 12:33 pm

My brother lives in Rochester and is looking for an FFL to have a handgun shipped to. Apparently the cheapest he's found so far is asking $60. Any recommendations?

If he doesn't mind a small drive, I'll do it for $20 and he'll have gas leftover.
PM me if you think he's interested.

I know of one in Kasson and one in Dodge Center, both charge $20 and are great to work with.

I've used this guy a couple times. $20 transfers. Great service.

Dan at black diamond is who I use. Done a handful of transactions thru him. Great guy but his rate just went up to $30 on my last handgun about a month ago. Has done some good smithing work for me too on old revolvers and long guns.

Try Wild Goose Sports on broadway in Rochester. I had a pair of AR lowers shipped to them and they charged $25 each.

I know the place you mentioned, coyote creek, they wanted $60 to transfer the first lower and $30 for each additional. Forget that!

Wild Goose gave me a load of garbage the last time I called them to ask about transfer fees. They said they would charge $50 for guns they could order through their distributors, and $40 for guns they couldn't order. A big "**** you" to the customer and a scummy way of discouraging online sales. Don't give them any business.

Dan, on the other hand, is a good guy. Really nice to work with, and has helped me out more than once with silly dumb things I needed fixed/installed. I've since moved to Minneapolis, but I direct all Rochester friends to him.

That's a bit disappointing.
