I have been thinking about this. Dayton will push legalization. Liberals are liberals first. They don't need scientific data to validate their concerns. They act on their feelings. All one has to do is parade a bunch of people who claim pot is their last hope.

Look at global warming which has been shot down repeatedly. Yet they still believe in it and chastise and humiliate those who dare disagree.

I don't think the Mayo Clinic will touch it.

Government funding research is just a mechanism for politicians to fund political supporters.

A puzzling statement. Mayo is still widely recognized as one of the top medical systems in the world. If anything, that reputation, among the public and among medical professionals, has enhanced over the last 5 years or so and business has never been better. You might be getting Mayo confused with the University of Minnesota.

I don't think we need a drug like this to be studied we already have plenty of non addictive painkillers and sphycotics anyone can get from our doctors and as long as we keep pumping our kids with adderal hopefully that will give them the focus they need to stay off the dirty pot that grows from the ground. How can you seriously give 2.2 million dollars to study a plant that hasn't had any real proof of even working other than helping you snack

The only thing that they do better than any other medical system in the area is marketing. That is why I think they will approach this cautiously.

That is the intended end result. A lot of the potheads are too dishonest to admit. They would rather demonize those who do not share their opinion by parading some poor pathetic soul who they have convinced that pot is their only hope for their illness, be it real or imagined.

Yeah, those who are actually consistent in their stance on individual rights are fairly rare, at least as a percentage of the population.
