Hmmm I wonder if the taxes in this state had anything to do with the move?

Nah, this was the logical move once Randy Luth sold the company to Remington.

It's too bad they are leaving, but it is pretty typical corporate behavior for Remington.

If I was one of the guys in Dakota Arms in SD I would be a little worried about this as well.

It is, as Remington is moving a lot of it's operation to Gun Friendly and Profit friendly AL. Good on them to take their money, their jobs and their Tax review to a State that is more gun friendly and especially more business/tax friendly. They are also pulling out of NY.

MN has been driving businesses away for years with their high taxes and regulations, yet you blame the business and not the Politicians and Voters that continue to take-take-take. Typical!

I talked to a young man that works at DPMS this morning. Dakota Arms and Bushmaster will be moving to Alabama also. The department he works in will be moving next April. They just told the employees this last week. Didn't sound like many workers would move to Alabama.

Good for them. Sad that the DFL considers this a win for MN.
Tony Martin. It could happen to us.

Huntsville is a neat town. Great food, decent microbrew selection, cheap housing --- couple that with a great business climate and its win win!

Downside is July and August humidity and temps...ugh....
Nothing to see here. Continue swimming.
